Cal Fencing Club

To become a member of the club:

0. Read this page. Contact one of the officers or stop by a practice if you still have questions.

1. Get an RSF membership. The club and the RSF have a grace period on fees for the first two weeks of the semester if you’re not sure about joining, this is the best time to come to your first practice!

2. Add yourself to the official Cal Rec Sports roster ($0.00) for Fencing here.

3. Pay the club dues through Cal Rec Sports. Dues are $130 (pay here) per semester, or $200 (pay here) for the whole academic year (including the following summer).

Membership includes group classes/practices, equipment, personal gear storage, and access to tournaments. We have a grace period coinciding with the RSF's grace period so you can get a feel for the sport before joining.

4. Come to practice!

If you would prefer a slightly more relaxed intro to the sport, consider taking our DeCal, which meets once a week.

The Rec Sports store link is not working.

If the link is broken, please email the webmaster.

I can get to the Rec Sports store and have signed in with CalNet, but it says I am not authorized to pay for items.

If you did not use the email listed for you in the CalNet directory when you signed up for your RSF membership, this breaks the payment system. Please talk to or send an email to one of the officers to help sort this out.

I accidentally paid for both the DeCal and the club / Was in the DeCal and decided to also join the club and need a refund.

Tell an officer if you haven't already, and fill out a refund request form and give it to the RSF front desk for processing. You will need to bring your Cal ID and the credit card you paid with.
